Terrazzo restoration in Venice
Venice was built out of exactly the kind of houses terrazzo belongs in. On the island and in the neighborhoods around it, the homes that went up from the fifties into the early seventies were poured with terrazzo throughout.
What we find in Venice floors
Venice terrazzo floors are original, and they're usually in good shape under whatever was put over them. What we repair is mostly history: tack strip holes from old carpet, chips from tile removal, and the occasional termite treatment hole.
We work in a lot of winter homes and newly purchased homes. Restoring the terrazzo is the biggest visual change you can make in these homes, and you already own the floor.

Venice questions
There are drilled holes in my floor from termite treatment. Can those be filled?
Yes. They're filled with matching marble chips and color-matched resin like any other repair, then polished in with the floor.
Some rooms have terrazzo showing and others have tile over it. What now?
That's common in Venice. In most cases this isn't an issue, just an aesthetic choice made by a previous owner. We can remove the tile, and in most cases restore the floor like it was never there.
How long will the work take?
Two to four days for most homes. Your estimate includes a day count.
