Nokomis is old Florida: canal-front block homes, beach cottages on Casey Key, and a lot of original terrazzo that has never been properly restored. We work here alongside our Venice and Sarasota jobs.
What we find in Nokomis homes
Many houses in Nokomis, Laurel and along the canals off Dona Bay date from the fifties and sixties, and many were built with terrazzo. Some of it is under carpet, some under tile, and some has been showing all along but has been waxed so many times that it looks yellow and dull.
We remove old flooring, grind off the wax and stains, and polish the terrazzo floor to look better than it ever has.

On Casey Key and at Nokomis Beach, the floors see sand every day. That wears down the surface on the microscopic level, and our abrasives smooth that back out. Once polished, terrazzo makes the perfect floor for the beach.

Nokomis questions
My terrazzo looks yellow. Will it stay that color?
Probably not. Wax and finish amber with age. When we grind that off the floor is usually much less yellow.
